We’ve Heard Every Concern

Real questions from real buyers — answered.

“Is it too heavy for our office?”

Individual panels are light enough for two people. You build piece by piece — never lifting the full weight at once. Casters let you roll it anywhere after.

“Do we need contractors?”

No. Tools and a step-by-step guide ship in the crate. Two people, a few hours. Or we connect you with an approved installer.

“Do we need an electrician?”

No. Plug-and-play — standard 120V / 15A outlet. All wiring is pre-installed at the factory.

“Will it damage our floors?”

No. Quiet Cabins sit on lockable casters with floor-safe pads. No anchoring, no drilling, no marks.

“Do we need permits?”

Usually not. Classified as modular furniture on casters — not a permanent structure. Confirm with your local authority.

“What if we need to move it later?”

Roll it. Every cabin sits on casters — relocate to a new floor, office, or building without disassembly.

“What about fire safety?”

Fire-retardant acoustic panels and tempered safety glass. Open-bottom design keeps building-wide sprinkler systems effective.

“Can one person build it?”

We recommend two. Panels are manageable alone, but a second pair of hands makes it faster and safer.

“Does the installer affect my warranty?”

No. Warranty coverage is the same regardless of assembly method. What activates your warranty is completing the Post-Installation Inspection (PDI).

Assembly FAQs

Talk to Our Team

How long does assembly take?

2–4 hours with two people for most models. Meeting Booths may take 4–6 hours.

How many people do I need?

Two people for all models. A step stool and rubber mallet are helpful alongside the included tools.

Do I need experience?

No. Every component is labeled, the guide is step-by-step, and our team is available for remote support if you get stuck.

What are my installation options?

You have three options: self-assembly (tools and guide included), a third-party contractor of your choosing, or optional professional installation arranged through Quiet Cabins. Contact info@quietcabins.ca for professional installation availability and pricing. Third-party contractors operate independently and are not employees or agents of Quiet Cabins.

Does my assembly method affect warranty?

No. Warranty coverage is the same regardless of how your unit is assembled: self-assembly, third-party contractor, or professional installer. What activates your warranty is completing and signing the Post-Installation Inspection & Acceptance Certificate (PDI). Assembly that deviates from Quiet Cabins' written instructions is not covered regardless of who performed the work.

What is the Post-Installation Inspection (PDI)?

A checklist completed and signed at installation handover. The PDI establishes your warranty start date (Structural: 4 years, Acoustic: 3 years, Electrical & Hardware: 2 years) and documents the condition of your cabin. You have 5 business days from the PDI signing date to report any defect not captured on the checklist. Photo documentation is mandatory. The installer must submit photos to info@quietcabins.ca on or before the installation date.

What if the booth doesn't meet noise reduction expectations?

If your booth does not achieve a measurable reduction in ambient noise consistent with its published specification, notify Quiet Cabins within 30 days of installation. We will reassess placement, inspect seals and installation, and offer remediation. Refund eligibility requires proper installation, appropriate environmental conditions, and no modifications.

What does on-site service cover?

First 12 months: parts and labour covered for manufacturer defects. After 12 months: parts covered under warranty; labour billed at standard service rates. Travel charges may apply depending on location.

Do I need permits?

Quiet Cabins are classified as modular furniture on casters. Most municipalities don't require permits. We recommend confirming with your local authority. The purchaser is responsible for all permits, zoning approvals, and site readiness before the installation date.

What are my site responsibilities?

The purchaser (or their contractor) is responsible for ensuring the installation site is accessible and compliant, obtaining all required permits and regulatory sign-offs, and meeting applicable building and safety codes. Delays caused by site non-readiness may result in additional charges for storage, re-delivery, or rescheduling.

Can I move it after installation?

Yes. Every Quiet Cabin sits on lockable casters. Roll it to a new location anytime. No disassembly or tools required.

What if there's a problem with my contractor's work?

All disputes arising from third-party contractor work must be resolved directly with the contractor. Whether referred by Quiet Cabins or sourced independently, contractors operate as independent parties. Quiet Cabins is not liable for contractor workmanship, conduct, or any loss or damage arising from their work.
