Noise reduction inside a closed booth
Warranty on acoustic components and seals
Heaviest model, and it still rolls on casters
Sprinkler heads or alarm devices needed inside
How Soundproof Is Soundproof?
Here is the honest version. A soundproof booth is not an anechoic chamber and it is not a mastering suite. What it does is reduce sound passing through the walls, door, and seals by up to 30 dB, in both directions.
For reference, a normal conversation sits around 60 dB and a busy open-plan floor typically runs in the 60 to 65 dB range. Take 30 dB off that and you are down near the level of a quiet room. In practice that means you can tell someone is outside, but you cannot follow their words, and they cannot follow your call. That is the threshold that matters for confidential conversations and for actually concentrating.
If your requirement is broadcast-grade isolation for recording, tell us during the quote. We would rather point you somewhere else than sell you the wrong room.
What Actually Makes It Quiet
Six things do the work. Every model shares the same acoustic build, so the smallest booth is as quiet as the largest one.
Fire-Retardant Acoustic Panels
The walls do the heavy lifting. Layered acoustic panels absorb and block sound rather than just dampening the echo inside, and they meet commercial interior fire standards. Manufacturer fire test documentation is available on request.
Tempered Safety Glass
The door and glazing are tempered safety glass, so the room stays visually open and daylit without giving up acoustic performance or safety compliance.
Full Perimeter Seals
Sound leaks through gaps long before it passes through a wall. Gaskets and seals around the door and panel joints are what turn a quiet-ish box into a genuinely quiet room, and they carry a three-year warranty.
Open-Bottom by Design
The booth is never sealed to the ceiling, which keeps it classified as furniture and keeps your building-wide sprinkler and alarm coverage effective. No sprinkler head or alarm device goes inside.
Ventilation You Cannot Hear
Airflow is the hardest part of a sealed room. A near-silent fan cycles fresh air continuously so an hour-long call stays comfortable, without adding a hum that undoes the quiet you paid for.
Certified Electrical Throughout
Class 2-rated power adapters and IEC connectors for ESA field certification, running off one standard 120V / 15A outlet. UL documentation is available on request, which is usually the first thing a designer or consultant asks for.

Furniture, Not Construction. That Changes Everything.
Because the booth sits on industrial casters and never attaches to the structure, it is classified as modular furniture. That single fact is why most municipalities do not require a building permit, why your landlord does not need to approve a renovation, and why nothing has to come out of a capital project.
It also means the room is reversible. Reposition it on the floor, move it between suites, or take it with you at the end of the lease. A built wall can never do any of that.
We put the classification details, certifications, and spec sheets in every quote so whoever signs off has the answers before they ask. If your fire authority has its own requirements, we will work with your inspector directly.
The Documentation Pack
Electrical certifications, fire test documentation, GREENGUARD Gold for indoor air quality, and full spec sheets. Ask and we send the set, no gate and no sales call first.
Specs, Compliance, and Sign-Off
Is it completely soundproof?
No room is, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling. What you get is up to 30 dB of reduction in both directions, which puts a normal conversation outside the booth down around the level of a quiet room. Speech becomes unintelligible rather than inaudible. For confidential calls and focused work, that is the line that matters.
Do soundproof booths need a building permit?
In most municipalities, no. The booth sits on casters and never attaches to the building, so it is classified as modular furniture rather than permanent construction. We include the classification details in your quote so your facilities team can confirm with the local authority quickly. It is always worth a call to your municipality before you order.
Does it need a sprinkler head or a fire alarm device inside?
No, and none is fitted. The open-bottom design means the booth is never sealed to the ceiling, so your building-wide sprinkler and alarm systems remain effective inside the footprint. Some fire authorities apply their own requirements, and we are glad to provide technical drawings or work directly with your inspector.
What are the fire ratings on the materials?
Acoustic panels are fire-retardant and the glazing is tempered safety glass, meeting commercial interior standards. Manufacturer fire test documentation is available on request and we send it with the spec pack.
Are the electrical components certified?
Yes. Components use Class 2-rated power adapters and IEC connectors for ESA field certification, and UL documentation is available on request. The whole booth runs off one standard 120V / 15A outlet, so there is no electrician, no dedicated circuit, and no rewiring.
Will it get stuffy, and can I hear the fan?
A near-silent fan cycles fresh air continuously, so a long call or a full working session stays comfortable. The fan is specified to stay quiet enough that it does not undo the acoustic performance, which is the trade-off cheaper booths get wrong.
What about off-gassing and indoor air quality?
The booths carry GREENGUARD Gold certification, which sets limits on chemical emissions from the materials. That matters more than usual here, because a soundproof booth is a small enclosed space that someone sits in for hours at a time.
Will our floor take the weight?
Models run roughly 750 lbs for the Comfort, 950 lbs for the Double, and 1,300 lbs for the Collaborative, distributed across the casters and the footprint. For most commercial floors this is not a concern. For an older building or an upper floor, we will send exact weights and footprint dimensions so your structural engineer can confirm before you order.
How does something that heavy get into our space?
It arrives flat-packed and gets assembled in place, so nothing 1,300 lbs has to come through your door in one piece. Delivery covers insured handling, scheduling, and proper placement, and is quoted by distance and unit weight. Assembly takes 2β4 hours per booth with two people and can be added to your quote.
